Seti’s
Dean Parking Lot 3500 Woodland Ave.

With Michael Symon’s recent Food Network review of Seti’s on the show “Best Thing I ever Ate”, we at Eating Around Town, decided Seti’s would be a perfect place to start reviews for our site. It fits everything we want to do. It’s Street Meat. Served from a van. In a parking lot of a place that sells urinal cakes. Not the normal place you might wander to for lunch. But, I got to tell you…Seti’s is amazing. The place/atmosphere:When you walk up to Seti’s van, you know you are in for something…special. This is how Street Meat is supposed to be served and supposed to taste. It’s in Dean’s Supply parking lot off Woodlawn avenue. You’re eating on the street in the city. There’s nowhere to sit so we recommend this as a pick up and go type of place. Be ready to wait a little bit at the window for your food…but it’s worth the wait. They cook and prepare each sandwich separately. What was ordered:
Joel: Best Polish Boy. The Best Polish Boy comes with Fries, BBQ Sauce and Coleslaw. For 50 cents each, you can add chili and cheese. I highly recommend adding these to your Polish Boy. This was a phenomenal choice. The mixture of the tastes really sat well with me. I liked the fries on the Polish Boy. To me, it added another element to the meal. The walk ability of the meal. You can walk and eat a sandwich and fries without having to sit down. I like that when i need a lunch on the go.
Chris: Best Polish Boy, all of the above minus BBQ sauce. Chris said the next time he’d order the fries on the side but otherwise really tasted great. He liked the fries just said he didn’t like “all that potato on my dog”. Innocent Bystander: Each review we will have a random person on the street give their impression on the menu item they had. This bystander ordered the All Beef Jumbo Dog with mustard and onions. They said it was one of the best dogs that they’d ever tasted. Hour Later Review:It’s been a hour since I ate at Seti’s and I am a little gassy. Could be the chili and the cheese. No running to the bathroom though…so all and all…going to have to rate this as a solid experience. Also, haven’t dipped into a food coma and still have plenty of energy for the day. Would we go back:In a heartbeat…as long as our heart is till beating after eating too many of these chili and cheese weiners! All in all, I spent $5.75 on my meal and walked away FULL. Didn’t need to eat anything else until dinner later that night. Great value, great taste, awesome experience! |
